Aniirajak means "playing outside" in Inuktut and that is exactly what we are inviting you to do!
The mission of the Aniirajak Ski and Adventure Club is to advance cross-country skiing and other outdoor activities by, among other things, make equipment available, organizing events, facilitating participation in races, developing infrastructure, organizing lessons, offering clinics and creating maps.

REGular outings
Mainly through the Facebook Group, members get together to go play outside. The group helps connect outdoor enthusiasts mainly to organize a day trip or a longer adventure, to gather information about outdoor related questions, or simply to share your latest outdoor experience.

Ski skills programs
Aniirajak Club is also the Cross Country Canada Nunavut Division and offers a Jackrabbit program since 2018. The Club plans to offer more ski skills programs for all ages in the coming year. The Club also is also offering every season ski course for adults. To learn more or to get involved, email the club today.

RUNNING CLUB
Before the snow returns, our athletes hit the trails to build strength, endurance, and confidence. These pre-season runs help develop solid fitness and team spirit, setting the foundation for the winter ahead. Whether jogging easy loops or working on intervals under the aqsarniit, the goal is simple: move together, get stronger, and have fun.

Annual loppet
Held every year since 2018, the Iqaluit Loppet brings the community together for a fun and active day on the trails, with race distances of 20 km, 12 km, and 6 km.

To become a member, go to www.zone4.ca and search for Aniirajak. Then just fill the current year membership online form and pay with a credit card. The membership year runs from July 1 to June 31 each year.

$25 – individual / $50 – family
